World champion Valentino Rossi admitted thinking to win the Valencia Grand Prix on Sunday (8 / 11), after knowing the Australian Ducati rider Casey Stoner fell while formation lap.
"When I saw Stoner fell off, I think can win now. However, it turns out Dani better with cold tires," said Rossi. Rossi took second place at the bottom of the first champion, Dani Pedrosa of Spain. Meanwhile, another Spanish rider, Jorge Lorenzo, finished third.
"Unfortunately it lost a lot of time. I exceeded (Toni) Elias and Jorge (Lorenzo). I think when we started the race together, I was able to offset Pedrosa because I was able to pace with the fast until the finish."
Rossi relieved to finally be able to claim the podium at the circuit which has been a trauma for him. He became a champion at Valencia in 2004, but then always look bad. In 2008 he occupies a qualification at number 10 despite finishing in third. In 2007 she suffered damage to machine and hand injuries, semnetara in 2006 he failed to finish in Valencia that caused his title to Nicky Hayden fly.
